A letter from Digby
Hello My Animal Shelter Friends:
This is Digby Scott, Grand Bank writing to you all to let you know how I’m doing. I finally found a good home!! I have a mom and dad, well my mom said people have to call them nan and pop around me because that’s what the grandchildren say and they don’t want to have me confused!! But anyway, my mom and dad just loves me to bits!! I have two sisters and a brother, four cousins, a brother and sister-in-law who are all humans, and who all love me very dearly!! I also have a canine cousin who is a white boxer named Diesel, and a second canine cousin called Shelby. My cousin Diesel thinks that he’s has small as me, and I know I’m as big has him. I get along really well with my animal cousins.
I have a very good life here, and I’m treated like a baby. A week after I got here my mom and dad bought me a kennel to sleep in at night, but I only spend a night and a half in it. I didn’t like it in there and wanted to sleep with my mom and dad. My dad said that I wasn’t to be put in that thing anymore, and they took it back to the store. So now I just sleep in my parents room with them. I’m a good boy and don’t do anything around the house or chewed any furniture, even if I’m left alone…..which is not very often. When my mom and dad goes to work in the mornings, lunchtime when they come home I’m in the door all excited to see them. My uncle Kris is usually home by day ‘cause he usually does night shifts at the hospital.
I am fed every morning and given clean water, and I even have my own cupboard which is full of treats. I even get a bath once a week. My uncle’s girlfriend bought me a little jacket for walking during the winter months. My mom and dad take me for a ride every night…. if we don’t go for a walk. My sister Rhonda took me to my first grooming this morning, and I look absolutely beautiful!!!!! I was bathed, fur cut and nails done. My mom took some pictures of me so when they’re downloaded on the computer she will send some to you. The girls who work in my mom’s office couldn’t understand why someone would give up such a beautiful little dog….but my parents are glad they did because now they have me. My mom said I have to go and see the animal doctor the 28 of July…..something about getting neutered whatever that means, she said she’s kind of worried about that, but I’m sure I’ll be okay.
My mom’s family is coming home in a couple of weeks so I will meet more relatives who I’m sure will love me too. I’m sorry I missed the Father’s Day Walk the SPCA had here at Grand Bank, but my mom had to go to St. John’s for a meeting so we had to leave that Sunday to go in. Yes, they take me with them to St. John’s when they go…..well we stay in Goulds at my sister Shannon’s place. I’m a really good boy while travelling!!
I don’t think there’s much more to tell you other than I’m a very happy puppy and all my family just adores and loves me very, very much!! My mom said to tell you to go ahead and give my room to some other doggy who might be needing a home because I will definitely will not be coming back!!
